Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the site was forced to shut down for more than a year. However, visitors can now return to Ta\u00ef National Park as long as they adhere to the health protocol developed in collaboration with the Ivorian Office of the Parks and Reserves (OIPR), Help us protect the local communities and primates in the forest that are vulnerable to human respiratory diseases.<\/p>\n<p>Come and immerse yourself in a unique experience off the beaten track, in the heart of one of the few remaining primary forests in West Africa! Ta\u00ef National Park is the home to unique biodiversity, and offers the incredible opportunity to observe sooty mangabeys and western red colobus in their natural habitat, or wander along tropical forest paths and learn about stories and traditions of the region. This immersion in the heart of the Ta\u00ef National Park is made possible again, so do not hesitate!<\/p>\n<p>The following are the health protocol guidelines to be observed during your visit. Kindly note that failure to comply with all the requirements may result in denial of access to the forest to safeguard the safety of the guides and primates.<\/p>\n<p><u>Upon your arrival in Ta\u00ef: <\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Present a proof of vaccination against COVID-19<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><u>OR<\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Take a COVID rapid test when you arrive in Ta\u00ef, at the Wild Chimpanzee Foundation office and show a negative result. Tests are available upon your arrival in Ta\u00ef\u00a0 for 7 000 FCFA, or you may supply your own for testing once in Ta\u00ef<\/li>\n<li>Upon your arrival in Ta\u00ef, your temperature will be measured, and to enter the forest, it must not exceed 38\u00b0C<\/li>\n<li>Complete a sworn statement declaring that you have no symptoms of COVID-19<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If the result of the COVID rapid test is positive, entry into the forest will be denied, and you will be ethically obligated to undergo a conventional test (PCR test) at one of the approved centres. (Abidjan, Man, San Pedro).<\/p>\n<p><u>In the forest: <\/u><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Temperature screening before departing from the camp to enter the forest<\/li>\n<li>Spitting in the forest is prohibited<\/li>\n<li>You must wear a mask covering both your nose and mouth. The guides will provide you with a mask<\/li>\n<li>At each designated cleaning station located at the entrance and inside the forest, please wash your hands and boots<\/li>\n<li>Please maintain a minimum distance of 10 meters between yourself and the primates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We are eagerly looking forward to welcoming you to Ta\u00ef National Park soon!
